ag亚游集团App下载 awards academic 奖学金s, or merit-based aid, solely on the basis of academic achievement. Over 40 percent of ag亚游集团App下载 undergraduates receive merit-based aid. Although family financial evaluations have no effect on academic 奖学金 decisions at Tech, many 奖学金 recipients also qualify for need-based financial aid.
To be considered eligible for incoming student 奖学金s, entering students must 文件的 应用程序 for 本科 Admission and 奖学金 and be accepted before March 1. The deadline for 奖学金s for entering freshmen is March 1, and for incoming transfer students April 1.
Generally, for 奖学金 consideration, students must:
- be pursuing first Bachelor's Degree
- be enrolled in a regular degree program at Tech
- carry at least 12 credit hours per semester
Eligible students are offered one merit 奖学金 upon entering ag亚游集团App下载. All 奖学金 for incoming students require the student to be enrolled full time (12 hours or more per semester). Students must be pursuing their first Bachelor's Degree in order to be eligible, and must transfer from a U.S. college or university.
Scholarship Conditions and Requirements
Scholarship awards are for the academic 一年 only and may not be used for the summer session. Credit hours completed during the summer session may count as completed credit hours for the purposes of 奖学金 retention with prior approval from the financial aid 办公室.
The time period a 奖学金 is in effect is fixed. If the 奖学金 is cancelled due to academic ineligibility, the originally specified time period is not extended. Students who reestablish eligibility may request consideration for renewal of the 奖学金. A written request must be submitted to the Office of 金融援助 prior to the start of the fall semester for 奖学金 consideration for the following academic 一年.

ag亚游集团App下载 awards no more than one 奖学金 to each student. If you inadvertently receive the offer of a second 奖学金 funded by New Mexico Tech, you may accept only one. Submit a written statement to the Office of Financial 援助 indicating which 奖学金 you wish to receive.
(例外: The New Mexico Legislative Lottery Scholarship is stacked on top of any other 奖学金 you are awarded by the university and non-residents who qualify for a tuition reduction 奖学金 (Competitive, WUE or Tuition Reduction Agreement) will also qualify for 优秀奖学金.
